Flood modeling maps were presented at the town hall.

Modeling maps depicting suggested flood areas along the Carson River if uncontrolled water tops Lahontan Dam. Flood areas depicted by color at 1,000 cubic-feet-per-second (cfs) intervals from 2,000-5,000 cfs flowing over the dam into the Carson River.

Blue is current non-flood 1,000 cfs in Carson River.

Maps are large files, so we suggest zooming in to magnify a particular area. This is only modeling and many things can effect flow including debris not accounted for through Lidar.
